Danielle Christina V Perrin
Died 12th April 2008
Born 14th April 1978
Mother of 3 girls.
Danielle was murdered.
Danielle 's youngest daughter goes to the same school as my son and I wanted to
start this site for all those who knew her. If at any point her own family wish
to take over please just email me and I will give you all the info for it. My
heart goes out to her family and friends right now. So very very sad. Can not
stop thinking of the girls and what they must be going through. A double lose
for them.
local paper report
A SHOCKED community is coming to terms with the violent death of mum Danielle
Powell.
Danielle, who was thought to be 29, died after suffering multiple stab wounds at
her family's Poole home in the early hours of Saturday.
Police were called to the block, at Goathorn Close, Turlin Moor, Hamworthy,
after neighbours reported a domestic disturbance.
Danielle was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics - it is thought she was
stabbed at least 27 times with a large knife.
It is believed Danielle would have celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday.
Neighbours say she lived with her husband and three children, and they think her
three girls were in the flat at the time of the knife attack.
One neighbour said: "The family have lived here for a number of years and we
would see the young girls playing quite often.
"A lot of people come and go in this area, with people moving in and out all the
time, but there is a sense of community here. At the moment there is just this
feeling of disbelief in the air.
"We simply cannot believe this has happened. Obviously our thoughts now are with
the children, who I think are being looked after by other family members."
Detectives from Dorset's Major Crime Investigation Team are leading the
investigation.
Yesterday, a large blue tarpaulin still covered the first-floor flat's exterior
as forensic teams worked to establish exactly what happened.
One shocked resident said: "Everybody's hearts go out to the children now. This
is such a sad thing to happen."
Neighbour Paul Rolls, 38, told the Echo: "One of the neighbours next-door said
she heard the girls screaming at some stage in the morning.
"She said the girls came downstairs and found their mum."
A 38-year-old man, arrested on Saturday in Newport, Gwent, in connection with
the incident, remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

DAUGHTERS' TRIBUTES TO MOTHER
By James Morton 17 April 2008.
YOU were the best mum in the world.
These are the heartbreaking last words from the 11-year-old daughter of murdered
Hamworthy mother-of-three Danielle Powell.
Danielle, who would have turned 30 on Monday April 14, was found dead at her
flat in Goathorn Close, Turlin Moor, on the morning of Saturday April 12.
Each of her three daughters have written letters to their devoted mum, who was a
full-time student at Kingston Maurward agricultural college studying a degree in
animal behaviour and welfare.
Danielle's 11-year-old daughter Georgie wrote: "You were the best mum in the
world. I really miss you so much and I wish that you were here right now.
"Each day I think of you and it still makes me cry."
The 13-year-old daughter Adele said she wants to follow in her mum's footsteps
by passing an animal welfare degree.
She wrote: "I am going to pass no matter how long it takes or whatever it takes.
I am going to do it for you.
"I hope you are happy up in heaven watching over us with Simba the cat at your
side."
Danielle's 12-year-old daughter Ashlie said her mum was a generous and loving
person.
She wrote: "You have put a lot of good memories in everyone's heads and you
always did a lot for people.
"You always put a smile on people's faces, even when they were sad."
A statement from Danielle's mother, father, and older brother and sister said
her children were a credit to her.
"You grew into a wonderful woman and a best friend to many people - a caring
mother always wanting the best for her children," said the statement.
"You touched so many hearts in your brief lifetime - even ones you did not know
of - and we will keep you in our hearts forever."
Danielle's husband, 38-year-old Kevin Jason Powell, appeared at Bournemouth
magistrates' on Tuesday April 15 charged with her murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on April 23.
Murderer heard ‘bad voice’ in his head
By Jim Durkin
A MAN who murdered his wife in a frenzied knife attack at their Poole home has
been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Jealous Kevin Jason Powell, who feared his relationship with 29-year-old
Danielle was over for good after she started seeing another man, launched his
sick attack as she slept.
In the days before the murder last April, Powell told a family member he
intended to kill Danielle.
Danielle awoke as the ferocious attack began but she was unable to fend off her
powerfully-built husband. She suffered 27 separate knife wounds and died at the
Hamworthy maisonette.
Powell, 38, who suffers from a personality disorder leading to emotional
instability, pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Winchester Crown Court
yesterday.
Passing sentence, Recorder Judge Broderick told Powell: "This certainly wasn't a
spur of the moment reaction. You went into Danielle's room, she was asleep in
the bedroom, and you started to stab her.

"These last minutes must have been utterly terrifying for her. It simply doesn't
bear thinking about."
Danielle, who was murdered two days before her 30th birthday, was spending much
of her time away from Powell, who had a history of violence.
She was studying for a degree in animal welfare and behaviour at Kingston
Maurward agricultural college.
Powell told police he had two voices in his head on the night of the murder -
one telling him to be nice to Danielle, the other saying kill her'. Prosecution
barrister Ian Pringle told the court: "He succumbed to the bad voice."
More than 200 people attended Danielle's funeral and she was awarded her degree
posthumously. Kingston Maurward College, where Danielle was described as one of
the best students, has set up an annual grant and award in her name for students
who overcome adversity.
A joint statement from Danielle's family welcomed the verdict, adding: "It won't
bring Danielle back but we do feel that we have got some justice today.
"We would like to thank everyone involved including the police, ambulance crew,
all our friends, neighbours and family and everyone at Kingston Maurward College
for their support.
"Danielle's memory will live on through the Danielle Perrin Memorial Award."
Detective Inspector Jez Noyce also welcomed the sentence, adding: "This was a
particularly callous murder."

Danielle, our lives will never be the same, the house is too quiet, the tube that we both rolled down the hill in lies still and the footprints in the sand where we played with the dogs have faded. Emma (gts) April 16, 2008We go through life so often
Not stopping to enjoy the day,
And we take each one for granted
As we travel on our way.
We never stop to measure
Anything we just might miss,
But if the wind should blow by softly
You'll feel an ANGELS KISS.
A kiss that is sent from Heaven
A kiss from up above,
A kiss that is very special
From someone that you love.
For in your pain and sorrow
An ANGELS KISS will help you through,
This kiss is very private
For it is meant for only you.
So when your hearts are heavy
And filled with tears and pain,
And no one can console you
Remember once again.....
About the ones you grieve for
Because you sadly miss
And the gentle breeze you took for granted
Was just......... 'AN ANGELS KISS'
Graham (Lived on Turlin Moor) April 15, 2008Our condolances
May I send my family and my condolances to the family and friends of Dannielle. It is an evil deed that has been done and I hope that God looks after you all.
